A RULES AND REGULATIONS
(a) RELATING TO PUPILS:
1. The School Hours are from 7.45 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
2. At the first bell all must assemble on the assembly ground. At the second bell the pupils should maintain absolute silence for the common prayers provided in the School Almanac.
3. Every student should bring his/her Almanac daily to school.
4. No page of the Almanac should go missing. If found, student will have to buy a new Almanac.
5. Students arriving late will be sent back home by contacting the parents.
6. No students may leave the School premises without the permission of the Principal. Parents desiring to take their children during School hours should fill the EXIT PERMISSION page in the Almanac. This will be granted only after the recess i.e. 11:00 a.m.
7. STRICT ACTION will be taken against the students skipping the classes.
8. This is an English medium school. English speaking is compulsory. No student will speak with the teachers or friends in any language other than English except during Hindi & Gujarati periods.
9. Students without the School uniform will not be allowed in the school. They will be fined or sent home in which case the School Authorities disclaim all responsibility.
10. The uniform must be clean and neatly pressed, shoes well polished, finger-nails pared and hair trimmed and neatly arranged.
11. On Saturdays, students should wear Track pant and house wise t-shirts and white sports shoes.
12. Low waist & narrow bottom pants are strictly prohibited. Boys should stich pants according to school pattern.
13. Girls having long hair should comb their hair in two plaits with blue ribbons. No pouf is allowed. They should pin all their flicks strictly. No long ear-rings Kajal, Eyeliner, colour lip balms or lipsticks allowed. They have to wear White ribbons on Saturday. Blue hair bands to be used daily except on Saturday, a White hair band to be worn. Girls should wear black tights / shorts inside the uniform skirt. The length of the tights /shorts should not be longer than the uniform skirt.
14. No student is allowed to remain in the class room during the P.T., Games, Work experience and during the recess period, without prior permission of the Principal.
15. Newspapers and periodicals should not be brought into the school premises. Students found with immoral books, pictures, electronic gadgets (Mobile, CD, Pendrive, Camera, Perfumes etc.) in their possession will be severely punished to the extent of even being expelled from the school.
16. Students going to and fro for P.T,computer, drawing, music classes, library, Hall or for any activity/programme practice should move in silence for which respective class monitor should be kept as incharge. Running, Playing or shouting in the school compound and corridors is not allowed.
17. The school does not accept any responsibility for the loss of books, pens, money etc. It is not advisable for students to have money or other valuable articles with them. Wearing of gold rings/earrings / chains and other ornaments are strictly forbidden.
18. “Pin drop” silence should be observed in the library. No student with “Tiffin” or with other eatables is to be allowed in the library.
19. On their birthdays, “birthday boys and girls” must come in their uniforms. No dresses other than the uniform are to be worn.
20. Students should come in school uniform on open house or to collect hall ticket strictly.
21. All should take an honest pride in keeping the school clean classroom, staircase, corriordor,playground, campus.
22. No contribution of cash, kind or collection drive may be made without the Principal’s permission.
23. Presents, gifts to the members of the Staff or other celebrations in their onour also require previous sanction of the Principal.
24. Attendance at official school functions like Independence Day, Republic Day, Parents Days, Sports Day, etc. is compulsory. Absentees will be fined or penalised.
25. During the absence of the teacher, the monitor will be responsible for the order and discipline of his class and all other students will obey him/her in so far it regards the fulfilment of his/her duty in this respect.
26. No students will be allowed to bring vehicle in the school campus.
27. Stern action will be taken against the students exhibiting verbal or physical aggression and bullying.
28. Open defiance, disobedience, objectionable moral influence, discourtesy and disrespect to the Authorities and teachers will be sufficient reason for dismissal.
29. Students should realise that they are responsible for their behaviour in and outside the school. Any report of misconduct outside the school premises should make them liable to disciplinary action.
30. After the school hours students should go home & not loiter in the parking area.
All the rules mentioned above and more rules and regulations given by the school management from time to time should be obeyed and adhered. Rules and Regulations not followed will incur fine of Rs.50/- with warning and if the same student continues to disobey strict action will be taken by the management even to the extent of dismissal.
(b) RELATING TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
1. In order to secure all that is best for the education of your ward and to ensure the relularity and discipline the maximum co-operation between parents and school authorities is desired.
2. With regards to the admission of their wards, parents must be given to understand that they cannot dictate terms to the Principal. The latter has a right to determine the conditions of the ward’s admission to the institution.
3. Parents or guardians should look in to their ward’s school Almanac everyday and see to it that lessons and home work assigned for the next day are done, supervise all their written work at least once a week and see that the child takes a keen interest in the activities of the school.
4. They are understood to have entrusted the Principal with authority to correct and punish their wards at His discretion.
5. They are particularly expected to sign the progress reports and the occasional remarks of the principal/teacher made in the school Almanac. Failure to do so may put their wards to great inconvenience for which the school accepts no responsibility.
6. Tuitions should not to be encouraged. Taking Tuitions from school teachers is prohibted. Co-operation from the parents to bring up the standard of the school will be highly appreciated.
7. They should see that their wards attend school regularly. If one’s ward is likely to be absent due to illness for a long period, then the Principal must be informed within 3 days and medical certificate to be submitted.
8. Children with contagious and infectious diseases should not be sent to school till they are cured. They should immediately report this to the principal.
9. The principal or the teachers could be contacted if you feel that your children do not make desired progress. Parents could meet the class teachers after the working hours on Saturday.
10. Whenever parents/guardians are called upon to meet the principal or the class teacher on a specific date, it is the duty of the former to make themselves available.
11. No parents/Guardian are allowed to see the students or interview the teacher/class teachers during the class hours without the written permission of the principal.
12. Any damage or disfigurement done in or about the school premises must be made good by the parents/guardians of the child responsible for it. The decision of the principal regarding the amount to be paid is final.
13. Parents must devote at least two hours with their children, discuss matters on the progress of studies and invariably guide them on proper lines.
14. Parents are requested to give home cooked nutritious food in tiffin. No junk food is allowed. (wafers, kurkure etc.)
15. Entry of the parents coming to leave their children is restricted till the gate.
(c) ADMISSION AND LEAVING
1. Parents/guardians should introduce their wards who wish to seek admission to the school. Once admitted they have to pay the entrance fee, school fee etc. for the first 6 months, in advance.
2. They have to produce a leaving certificate if they come from a recognised school. If they come from a school outside the state of Gujarat, the leaving certificates must be countersigned by the educational officer of the region, district where that school is situated.
3. Those who wish to withdraw their children from the school must notify their intentions to the principal one month in advance in the form provided in the Almanac. The leaving certificate will be issued within three days after the receipt of the application. No leaving certificate will be issued unless all dues are paid.
